The world's most downloaded pornstar Jenna Jameson (born Jenna Marie Massoli) was born on April 9, 1974 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jenna's father was program director for NBC affiliate and a police officer in Las Vegas, and her mother was a revered Las Vegas showgirl. Jenna's mother passed away when Jenna was just four years old. Jenna and her brother were raised by her father. Well aware of Jenna's charm and good looks at a young age, her father nicknamed her "Heartbreaker"...and that, she certainly became.

Jenna studied ballet as a child. She was a self-described nerd in high school and didn’t have a date to her high school prom. But by her late teens she had blossomed into a voluptuous and sultry stunner with an innocent look. She began getting jobs as a model and topless dancer on the Vegas strip. Before long she was dancing at the world-famous Crazy Horse II.

Within a year Penthouse and Hustler had discovered Jenna Jameson and run pictorials on her. Soon the offers to do adult movies appeared. She consulted with her father, who encouraged her to follow her conscience, but added, “You know, Jenna, this is a big step. You can’t erase this.” She decided to go ahead with it, and at age 19, began making adult films. She was an instant success and was voted the “Best New Starlet” by AVN, XRCO and FOXE – the only actress ever to win the award from all three groups in the same year. Since then, she has won virtually every honor the adult industry bestows. In somewhat of a return to the scene of one of her initial successes, she now writes a regular column for Hustler and is featured by the magazine three times a year in major pictorials.

During a two-year hiatus from adult films, Jenna did more mainstream work and was featured in Howard Stern's film hit “Private Parts.” In late 2001, she returned to adult film work, signing on for exclusive work with Vivid Video, which named her a “Vivid Girl.” Jenna’s other mainstream work includes a role in the indie horror film “Samhain,” a role in Comedy Central’s first feature film, “Porn ‘n Chicken,” two appearances on “Nash Bridges” and a recurring role in the NBC drama “Mister Sterling.”

Jenna Jameson’s increasing involvement in mainstream entertainment activities is evidenced by her roles in smash hit music videos by Eminem and KORN and her regular appearances on mainstream television shows from hosting E!’s “Wild On” and stints on other E! Channel specials to “The Man Show,” “Fox Magazine,” “Entertainment Tonight,” “Extra,” HBO and many others. Her stunning beauty has fascinated magazine editors from the start, and so far she has graced over 300 magazine covers and appeared in nearly 1,000 magazine articles or pictorials, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Allure, and Jane to Esquire, Playboy, and Penthouse. She writes regular columns for the British, German and American editions of FHM , a magazine that consistently ranks her as one of the 100 most beautiful and sexy women in the world (#22, beating out Catherine Zeta-Jones (56), Julia Roberts (49) and Rebecca Romijn-Stamos (25). )

Jenna Jameson has played an important role in bringing adult into the entertainment mainstream and has successfully become an icon in both industries.

No better proof exists that Jenna has made the transition from pornstar to mainstream personality than the fact that Revolver magazine chose her at the 2003 “Girl of the Year”… that recently the Fox News Networks carried three separate programs profiling Jenna in a space of four days… and that Entertainment Tonight featured her in three back-to-back segments within a week’s time. Revolver says (March 2002), “Jenna is well on her way to joining the Hootchie Hall of Fame," but it then makes the larger point that "Jameson has managed to crossover into the mainstream." Adds Swung Magazine: “Don’t worry, Jenna will still be Jenna Jameson, Queen of the Adult World, even if she’s wearing more hats than usual.”

I just finished out my weekend in Vegas...which is always super fun but majorly taxing. I went to the UFC fight on Saturday to watch Tito and Ken hash it out. Tito came out looking good, and dropped killer elbows. I then hit the Foundation Room for an hour or so, then on to Tryst at the Wynn hotel... I got in at about 5,eeeeeeek! Sunday I actually slept until noon, which I needed after dancing at Tryst for hours on end. Then I went with linda, Eric and Jorge shopping (of course!) - cleaned the Gautier store out...lol Then it was time for my appearance at 40 Deuce...it was shit hot! Packed house and killer dancers! I then moved on to Body English and got my party oooooon until about 3. This little bird was tiiiired. Linda, Eric, Jorge and I went back up to the room and did gymnastics until 5:30...lol If only you were a fly on the wall to see how funny that was! Now I am back in LA...the schedule never ends baby!
